The Witch Queen Hive Hedges

When designing the hedges for Savathûn's fortress in The Witch Queen, I planned to use simple topiary shapes that complimented the stark white Lucent Hive architecture. The final models all have a similar gradient treatment that is iconic and simple, yet robust as a set of different hedge shapes for gameplay and variety. While fun and inviting from afar, up close ghostly tendrils and bulbous roots paint a more eerie picture. Inspired by concept work by Sung Choi.
